About Western
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a LIFT's Social Media and Events Ambassador, you will play a key role in promoting LIFT’s presence on campus and online. This dynamic position blends digital engagement with on-the-ground outreach to support LIFT’s events, initiatives, and overall visibility.
- Maintain LIFT’s online presence across social media platforms
- Create and share engaging content to promote upcoming events, highlight student achievements, and showcase community partners
- Regularly update digital platforms with current event information and organizational highlights
- Collaborate with the Experiential Learning Coordinator to identify optimal event timing, venues, and target audiences
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive event calendar
- Assist with planning and logistics for LIFT events, including Orientation Week
- Attend classes and visit residence halls to promote LIFT's events and encourage student involvement
- Coordinate with campus groups, including Sophs and Dons, to raise awareness and support for events
- Build relationships with other student organizations and participate in events like volunteer fairs and promo booths
- Assist the Experiential Learning Coordinator with other related projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using social media platforms to promote events or initiatives
- Comfortable speaking to groups and, planning and promoting events
- Team-oriented with a collaborative attitude
- Familiarity with LIFT’s mission and student community
