The Senior Manager Investigates and identifies strategies to optimize business operations and services and inform business decisions. Ensures that multiple interconnected projects work cohesively to achieve broader organizational objectives. Oversees and liaises with multiple Personal & Business Banking group's stakeholders across different groups. Ensuring effective collaboration. Partners with respective leaders for the planning, execution, and delivery of functional programs. Works directly with Lead Technology Officers and other technology stakeholders to manage material risks and issues, including positioning and ensuring accountability for ownership. Actively participates in preparations for Governance & Decision forums.
Also assesses the efficiency and the performance of technology (software, hardware and the wider IT system) to deliver expected business results. Identifies and analyzes malfunctions, system workflow, and troubleshoots issues raised by business.
- Supports various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
- Applies depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do.
- Ensures alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications:
- Typically 7-10+ years of work experience in IT or business environment within the banking industry, preferably commercial or business banking.
- Experience working on large scale, multi-million-dollar initiatives.
- Expertise in the planning, execution, and delivery of functional programs.
- Previous involvement in preparations for Governance & Decision forums.
- Consultative style and approach.
- Expertise partnering with respective with leaders and stakeholder for the planning, execution and delivery of functional programs.
- Experience accurately representing the delivery of technology agenda and communications
- Expert level of knowledge in domain Broad/diverse business knowledge of a range of functions, products and/or systems, or expert knowledge of specialized functions, products and/or systems
- Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
- Proven track records of building enterprise level cloud applications (bonus)
- Knowledge of High Value Payment process and ISO 20022 messages (bonus)
- Understand functional aspects and technical behavior of the underlying operating system, development environment, and deployment practices.
- Have facility with and understanding of the ecosystem that code operates in.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth / Expert.

Salary:
$94,600.00 - $176,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
