Job Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a full-time Cleanroom Team Lead to join our team!
Location – 41 Brockley Dr. Hamilton, ON
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Pharmacy Supervisor or Manager at Calea Hamilton (41 Brockley Drive), the Cleanroom Technician Team Lead oversees daily aseptic compounding operations in compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Working closely with the Pharmacist, the Team Lead manages cleanroom workflow to meet production targets, turnaround times, and quality standards.
This role requires strong knowledge of aseptic compounding and pharmaceutical technologies, along with sound judgment, integrity, and leadership by example. The Team Lead provides daily guidance to cleanroom staff, addresses performance and compliance issues, and escalates concerns to the Supervisor, Manager, or Pharmacist as needed.
Additional responsibilities include supporting ancillary production tasks such as staging, labeling, packaging, cleaning, QC/QA monitoring, and training. While most tasks are routine, complex issues should be referred to a supervisor.
Success in this role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Team Lead must demonstrate full engagement with organizational goals and ensure compliance with all corporate, regulatory, and safety standards, including the Quality Management System, Code of Conduct, and Health & Safety policies.
DAILY PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES:
The Cleanroom Technician Team Lead oversees all daily aseptic compounding activities, ensuring timely, accurate production and adherence to schedules and standards. Responsibilities include supervising infusion product compounding, evaluating aseptic technique, and promptly addressing and reporting any deviations to the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist.
The Team Lead organizes workflow, ensures availability of materials, and submits stock requests within required timelines. They also ensure completion of routine cleanroom tasks, such as environmental monitoring, scheduled cleaning, garment handling, expiry checks, and related duties.
In addition to leading the team, the Team Lead performs technician duties as needed, including compounding, product picking/packing, cleaning, restocking, and monitoring. They also support the Hospital Compounding team with staffing, packaging, and daily production tasks.
Collaboration with other departments is key to meeting goals in efficiency, service quality, and compliance.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:

Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a CCAPP accredited program and a minimum 2-3 years pharmacy practice experience

Registered Pharmacy Technician is an asset

Minimum one year experience in aseptic compounding of infusion products
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating workloads
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Excellent continuous improvement skills
- Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude with ability to influence and motivate self and others to achieve team goals
-Above average proficiency in Monarch, Excel, SAP, and eDMS systems with ability to learn new systems with -ease
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
