Role Description This is a part-time, remote Data Analyst role. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and analyze datasets related to Indigenous participation in energy and resource projects. Responsibilities include building reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key findings to internal stakeholders and external clients. The role involves conducting statistical analysis, supporting data modeling initiatives, and validating data quality. The Data Analyst will collaborate with researchers and advisory staff to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and may assist in preparing materials for publications, presentations, and client engagements.
Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and proficiency in Data Analytics. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Statistics and experience applying statistical methods to real-world datasets. Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and working with structured and unstructured data. Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences. Proficiency with data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python or R, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau). Attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy, and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Understanding of or interest in Indigenous governance, energy, or resource sectors is an asset. Relevant post-secondary education in data science, statistics, economics, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
