As a Parts Supervisor, you’ll oversee a team of parts technicians supporting branches and customers.

Job Description:
- Drive sales performance by coaching and guiding the team to generate leads, execute promotional selling, maximize customer basket fulfillment, and maintain high call quality and service levels through Genesys to ensure a consistent, high-value customer experience.
- Lead and support the Parts Team across multiple facilities, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient parts availability to meet customer and operational requirements.
- Oversee daily and weekly planning of workloads, resource allocation, and staffing schedules to maintain consistent service levels and operational coverage.
- Ensure the team completes accurate and timely procurement of parts for internal and external customers, working closely with Buyers to escalate Caterpillar and Non-Caterpillar shortages when required.
- Support and deliver training for all parts and logistics functions, ensuring team competency, effective cross-training, and operational readiness.
- Provide superior customer service by proactively communicating with internal stakeholders, external customers, and service partners.
- Facilitate effective change management in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment while reinforcing Finning values, safe practices, and strong operational standards.
- Identify, develop, and optimize internal systems and processes related to parts operations, accuracy, workflow efficiency, and overall service excellence.
- Conduct daily safety talks and regular department meetings, ensuring safety is embedded in all aspects of operations.
- Complete leadership walkthroughs of the warehouse and shop, identifying safety concerns, operational gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Approve high-value customer returns and ensure accurate processing in alignment with company policies.
- Support hose escalations and the Hose Assembly Bench (HAB) process, ensuring timely coordination and issue resolution.
- Lead performance management activities, including employee evaluations, coaching, recognition, and progressive discipline where required.
- Support employee career development, helping team members set and achieve meaningful professional goals while fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor individual and team performance using KPIs, metrics, and operational dashboards to drive results and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Team on job priorities, parts forecasting, and service scheduling to ensure alignment and problem-solving without a reporting relationship.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in parts operations, inventory accuracy, field support strategy, and customer responsiveness.
- Champion Finning’s culture, values, and customer-first mindset, modelling operational excellence, integrity, and safety leadership.
Requirements:
- Journeyman Parts Ticket required. Red Seal is an asset.
- Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- 5+ years in warehouse or parts roles, preferably in the mining sector.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and cost controls.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Lawson M3 and parts network systems is an asset.
- Understanding of labor relations, grievance resolution, and performance management processes.
- Potential travel to meet Customer Requirements ( 10-25% of the time)
