Parking Lot Attendant - Eastern Health
Starting Wage: $16.25
Reporting to the Management Team, this position will rotate between 3 different parking lot sites and requires reliable personal transportation. Parking Lot Attendants play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the parking facility. This position involves customer service, managing incoming and outgoing vehicles, and assisting the public and staff members with parking-related inquiries.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Provide Superior Customer Service. Greeting customers and providing information regarding available parking spaces.
- Assist customers in the use of automated parking equipment, recognizing and respecting the individual needs of each customer.
- Processing payments for parking, answering questions, and providing directions.
- Assist with traffic spotting and traffic flow by directing incoming vehicles to available parking locations, ensuring orderly and efficient parking.
- Completing minor equipment repairs as required, and minimizing any downtime to parking operation.
- Cleaning workspaces and parking equipment frequently.
- Actively identify and report any issues with equipment to the supervisor.
- Patrol parking lots and issue notices for infractions as required.
- Setting up and taking down mobile signs.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Note the nature of complaints received by customers, and actively help develop and suggest solutions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and clients in English.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Management Team.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
- Class 5 Drivers Licence and clean driving abstract (asset)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a positive attitude, poise and diplomacy.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
- Ability to work with a team.
- Reliable personal transportation.
