Job Details

The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Public Operations department as a Facility Services Worker - Certified. Reporting to the Team Lead, Facility Services, this position will be responsible for various duties in all areas of maintenance and repair, as well as assisting in the alteration and installation of all systems in compliance with corporate and provincially legislated Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policies and codes of practice and the City of St Albert Environmental Management System.

The individual we seek can work independently and in a team while making sound decisions based on established standards.

Qualifications

  • 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate, with 5 years of directly related building operations systems experience including HVAC, boilers, electrical, mechanical controls systems and security systems.
  • Strong customer service and ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public & building tenants.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Hours of Work

  • 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
  • Participation in the standby roster will be required.

Compensation

  • $34.98 per hour including a comprehensive benefits package with a flexible spending account, pension plan, and accrued paid vacation starting at 3 weeks per year.
