What we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Level 2 or Level 3 Body Shop Apprentice to join our team. Working under the direction of the Body Shop Manager and alongside experienced technicians, this role will support a wide range of auto body repair tasks while continuing to develop technical skills.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in auto body repair, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to take on more advanced tasks with increasing independence. This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice looking to grow their career in a fast-paced, high-quality repair environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in repairing damaged vehicle bodies to restore them to pre-accident condition
- Support detailed vehicle inspections to assess damage and repair requirements
- Perform prep work including sanding, masking, and panel preparation
- Assist with panel removal, replacement, and alignment
- Support welding and structural repair work under supervision
- Follow all quality control standards and repair procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Registered Apprentice (Level 2 or Level 3) in Auto Body Repair
- Previous hands-on experience in a body shop environment
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of auto body repair techniques and tools
- Exposure to welding and structural repair is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills
- Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively within a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and responsible
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
