Full Stack Developer (PHP and React)
Type: Contract
Location: Vancouver preferred. BC candidates are second preference. Candidates anywhere in Canada will be considered. We are not accepting applications from outside Canada.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a contract Senior Full Stack Developer who can take ownership of modern web application development from end to end. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to build high-impact features that power financial automation and data-driven workflows.
You will work on advanced data modeling, scalable architecture, and high performance services. The team is driving major feature releases on tight timelines, so I need someone who writes clean, reliable code, communicates clearly, and consistently delivers.
What You’ll Do

Partner with Product and senior engineers to clarify requirements and produce clear technical designs

Collaborate with distributed teams to build systems optimized for scale, reliability, and maintainability

Develop clean, well-organized, well-tested code across the full stack

Participate in thoughtful code reviews to maintain quality and consistency

Help evaluate and adopt frameworks, libraries, and tools that improve delivery speed and software quality

Contribute to Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement across the team

Own your commitments and deliver features on time with high accountability
-
Follow observability standards so applications are easy to support and troubleshoot
What You Bring

Strong experience developing full-stack web applications with a focus on PHP and related tooling
-
Solid frontend skills using React, TypeScript, and CSS , including work with design systems and reusable components

Experience working with complex, integrated systems and external dependencies
-
Deep understanding of web services and APIs (REST or GraphQL)
-
Hands-on experience with Doctrine or similar ORM frameworks
-
Ability to collaborate on high-level architecture with senior engineers and architects
-
Strong grasp of software design patterns and clean coding principles
-
Practical experience with Linux, Git, and Docker in development and deployment workflows
-
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
-
Clear, confident communication around technical concepts
-
At least 5 years of professional full-stack development experience
