Job Description:
The Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Administrative position supports the Community IPAC Hub in providing IPAC services to Long-term Care, Retirements homes and other Congregate living settings (CLSs) in the communities served by THP.
As an integral part of the IPAC Hub team, the Administrative Assistant (AA) Under the direction of the IPAC Hub manager, assists with the management of the hub database, administrative responsibilities and additional IPAC duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and input data collected in the THP Community IPAC hub database
- Support the hub team in the updating of information related to the IPAC programs of the CLSs served.
- Clerical duties include but are not limited to responding to phone calls and email messages and routing to appropriate team member, scheduling meetings, scribing, preparing and formatting reports and documents.
- Assist in other Infection Prevention and Control initiatives, that align with the services of the IPAC hub to CLSs
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Health-related field preferred
- Experience working with an infection prevention and control program in a health care setting preferred
- Strong computer skills- Advance level in Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
Location:
We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). Acknowledging that the primary works space will be remote work from home, but there will be times when onsite presence is appropriate just as there will be times when onsite presence may not be possible.
The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employee’s place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy. Since employees should be available to return to the workplace with 24 hours’ notice, remote work outside of the province or country is not acceptable.
