Business Systems Analyst- Transformation & AI
About the role
Shape the Future with Automation, AI, and Business Systems
At Chartwell, our purpose is Making People’s Lives BETTER. We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support our core business systems, including Oracle HCM, Yardi, and ServiceNow, while helping us prepare for the future with automation and AI.
This role is about more than documenting requirements. You’ll own them end to end—from discovery through delivery—while engaging stakeholders with confidence and presence. You’ll document processes and workflows, lead requirements-based testing such as UAT and QAT, and ensure every solution is validated against business needs. Along the way, you’ll surface opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline approvals, and reduce manual reporting, bringing a future-focused lens that includes automation and AI as they become embedded in our systems.
Why This Role Matters
As a BSA at Chartwell, you’ll:
- Lead requirements end to end : Capture, refine, and manage requirements through discovery, delivery, and validation.
- Drive transformation : Look beyond “what was asked” to propose solutions that unlock efficiency and long-term value.
- Champion a future-ready mindset : Improve current systems while preparing for tomorrow, including automation and AI opportunities such as streamlining approvals, automating reporting, and reducing manual work.
- Show command presence : Confidently lead workshops and influence decisions with credibility across business and IS teams.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with business leaders and IS to analyze needs and design solutions across Chartwell’s applications.
- Document requirements clearly, including process maps and workflows, and translate them into practical solutions for both business and technical teams.
- Recommend options that balance trade-offs while integrating automation and AI where they add measurable value.
- Lead requirements-based testing activities such as UAT and QAT, ensuring every solution is validated against business needs before it goes live.
Who You Are
- Experienced: 5+ years in business analysis, process improvement, or transformation roles.
- Proven: Strong track record of leading discovery-to-delivery engagements across systems and applications.
- Future-focused: Curious and adaptable, able to spot opportunities for automation and AI while ensuring today’s solutions are reliable.
- Influential: Skilled facilitator with presence and credibility in front of senior stakeholders.
- Analytical: Adept at mapping processes, identifying gaps, and recommending clear solutions.
- Collaborative: Comfortable bridging business and IS perspectives to create outcomes that stick.
- Curious about emerging tools: You stay current on technology trends and have explored AI tools like ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to see how they can add value.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
