Wage: $38.47 - $39.81/hr

The Clinical Analyst is an integral team member supporting the implementation and ongoing operational support activities of the organization’s clinical information systems. This support includes activities such as analyzing, assessing and documenting end user requirements; carrying out workflows and process redesign activities, making recommendations with respect to related policies and procedures, and assisting in the development and build of the electronic patient record and other clinical technology support. The Clinical Analyst is involved in the development and delivery of education and training materials, courses and curriculum as an expert user of the system.

Skills And Qualifications Required

Registered Practical Nursing Diploma, OR equivalent education and experience in a regulated healthcare discipline may be considered Current, unrestricted license to practice with the applicable regulatory College in Ontario Minimum two years of recent experience supporting process redesign and/or change management in a healthcare setting in support of clinical staff (e.g. nursing, allied health, physicians, etc.)

Demonstrated expert user of Lumeo (Cerner Millenium) within the last year

Recent (within the past 3 years) experience in adult education, including curriculum development and delivery

Position Responsibilities

Supports the Team Lead to conduct the analysis, design, database configuration, testing, training and support of the electronic patient record to be used by nurses, physicians and allied health providers within Providence Care Supports the team in integrating the capabilities of the electronic patient record with the operations of the organizational departments and is instrumental in gaining system acceptance and ownership within the organizational departments Assists the team in applying project management methodology, associated project life cycle and the project governance processes to the clinical information projects Facilitates sessions of varying nature to achieve desired outcomes, and communicates and presents recommendations to various teams, working groups and committees Engages with the clinical areas to document workflows and identify process gaps based on clinical needs and assist in identifying appropriate solutions Conducts functional reviews with stakeholders, gathering and documenting requirements and creating process maps of current and future state Contributes to successful and timely completion of assigned operational and project tasks by assisting other Clinical Informatics team members, including the Team Lead, to identify risks and develop/recommend mitigation strategies Provides support to project teams and working groups assigned to develop new documentation practices and system design to support safe patient care
