Hours: Monday - Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm
Position Classification: Excluded
Wage Range:$80,000-$93,000
Position Summary: The Financial Analyst position is an integral part of a busy and dynamic Non-Profit Society and will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparation and reconciliation of reporting, forecasting and assisting with the preparation of budgets. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a solid understanding of Canadian GAAP and Non-Profit reporting.
Typical Duties Include:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support data-informed decision-making across programs.
- Preparation of external financial reporting as required
- Analyze variances in program expenditures, including payroll trends and support forecasting process.
- Ensure financial integrity by supporting accurate invoicing and timely collection of receivables.
- Assist in the review and validation of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Support the implementation and oversight of financial policies, internal controls, full-cycle accounting processes and funder agreements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation in good standing is required.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in financial budgeting, program costing, budget/financial modeling, reporting and administration is required.
- In-depth knowledge of non-profit or charitable financial operations and community-based programs will be considered an asset
- Exceptional communication skills that promote seamless collaboration across diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
