Join us as a Network Solution Design & Tier 3 Technical Expert and take the lead in shaping, managing, and optimizing our private wireless network services. With a strong focus on Nokia core technologies, you’ll own service performance end-to-end—driving reliability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. In this high-impact role, you’ll also serve as the go-to Tier 3 technical authority, tackling complex network challenges, leading advanced troubleshooting, and delivering expert support when it matters most.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in network operations, with 3 years supporting 4G/5G cellular networks including: Nokia core (CMU) and Nokia IP-MPLS networks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Deep understanding of LTE architecture, protocols, and Nokia core components
  • Proven experience in Tier 3 technical support and service ownership
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with network monitoring, incident management, and change control processes

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex network issues, particularly those involving Nokia core components (e.g., MME, HSS, SGW, PGW)
  • Provide Tier 3 service provider support to site operations teams, owning the resolution of escalated incidents and problems through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support of Nokia IP/MPLS infrastructure, including VPRN, VPLS/Routed‑VPLS, MPLS, routing protocols, and core/aggregation connectivity
  • Interface with Nokia support and other vendors for critical issue resolution, defect analysis, and software upgrades
  • Oversee daily operations of the private wireless network, including monitoring, incident response, and change management, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues
  • Lead or support network projects, including new service rollouts, upgrades, and migrations, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles, and provide training and mentorship to team members

Location and other Key details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • Occasional travel is required
  • Occasional on call support after hours will be required
  • Our professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will be based years of experience and scope of work
