About the role
Kelowna General Hospital is seeking a relief full‑time Clinical Practice Educator based in Kelowna, B.C. This role provides education support to the Medicine program, specifically the Oncology and Renal units on 4A and 4B.
This relief position is expected to run until January 17, 2028, or return of incumbent.

What will you work on?
The Clinical Practice Educator (CPE) provides leadership in the delivery of nursing education and instruction to staff and patients/clients based on adult education principles and philosophy within a specific clinical specialty or patient/client population. The CPE applies nursing theory, advanced knowledge and leadership concepts in providing clinical guidance and resource support to staff. The CPE assists the Manager in establishing and maintaining standards of care and in providing and participating in continuous quality improvement environment. The CPE provides guidance and support to staff in the application of the nursing process in the provision of patient/client care.

Education, Training and Experience

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCN
-
Three years recent related nursing experience in the designated clinical area of focus/specialty, including two years formal experience in areas such as adult teaching and learning, clinical mentoring and preceptoring, clinical instruction, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Valid BC Driver’s License as required.
