Project Description
Food allergy is a growing global problem. The Evidence in Allergy group is seeking a dietician to support food allergy research. Working with the team and reporting to the PI and research coordinator, the dietician will support clinical trials, registries, and interacting with study participants to address improving food allergy and patient outcomes.
Job Summary
Under direct supervision, provides support of a routine nature related to the collection and review of data for the Clinical Immunology and Allergy Program.
Accountabilities

Input data into spreadsheets or databases and maintain information and records

Conduct preliminary, basic analyses and prepare summaries of data
-
Assist with obtaining data and information from databases for others to use in the development of presentations, scientific papers and reports.

Seek guidance and direction from research or other project staff.

Review patient charts for study data
-
Consent participants for the research study
-
Implement first two steps of the process (screening and assessment)
-
Complete questionnaires with study participants.

Perform other related tasks as outlined by the researcher.
Qualifications
Education:
Baccalaureate Degree in Applied Human Nutrition or Baccalaureate of Science and successful completion of dietetic internship
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of related experience in a research environment.
- Current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
- Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Dietitian in a tertiary care pediatric setting
Assets

Experience with patients with food allergy and food allergen handling and preparation.
