As a Procurement Specialist, IT Contracts your role is to drive value in sourcing and contract management by identifying risks, strengthening controls, and optimizing contract and procurement processes. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to support effective negotiations, ensure compliance, and enhance performance. What We Offer: Work Environment – Work onsite in our beautiful home office building with access to a fitness facility, onsite nurse, and a café Competitive Compensation – Including an annual bonus plan, pension plan, and parking allowance Flexible Benefits Plan – In effect from day one and offers three levels of coverage to select from to meet your unique, personal needs Paid Vacation – Plus an annual option to purchase additional vacation, too Wellness Support – With an annual wellness allowance, paid personal care days and a 24/7 Employee & Family Assistance Program Opportunity to give back to some amazing causes in our community – Choose when and where to make an impact with a paid volunteer day, company volunteer opportunities and a donation matching program Your Responsibilities: Understanding of IT systems and contracts, including vendor drafted contracts, licensing agreements, infrastructure and application contracting, professional services agreements, scopes of work, and other agreements Develop and implement multi-year category sourcing strategies utilizing best practices Manage the strategic sourcing process, including RFx initiatives, proposal evaluations, negotiation strategies, contract negotiations, execution, and maintenance Understand and align markets, strategies, priorities and plans Ability to judge situations, identify critical aspects of issues, creatively use data sources, structure analyses, think through solutions, develop recommendations and sell to stakeholders Identify external and internal stakeholders and their requirements and engage appropriately in activities Facilitate internal Total Cost of Ownership reduction initiatives and identify savings opportunities Manage contracts and supplier relationships Implement supply management methodologies, processes, policies and procedures Understand legal concepts as they pertain to proposals, contracting and executing on existing contracts Identify issues, develop hypotheses, establish data frameworks, conduct analyses, draw conclusions and develop proposals Your Skills: Ability to incorporate industry best practices such as IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL Foundation) Strong ability to work as part of a team, network, and build relationships Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively Strong negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skills Strong analytical, problem solving, and cost modeling skills Strong contract drafting skills and familiarily with contract law Ability to evaluate and mitigate commercial risks Your Experience: Post-secondary education in business, or equivalent experience 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (create, populate, update) Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or other similar designation would be an asset Irving Oil is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
