Job Summary The SAP Solution Architect is a senior, project-focused role leading functional solution design and architectural integrity across UFA’s SAP landscape, primarily supporting the S/4HANA implementation program in a RISE with SAP (Private Cloud) environment.
This role is functionally driven, with strong technical awareness (BASIS, ABAP, integrations, platforms) to ensure scalable, secure, and supportable solutions. The Architect bridges business stakeholders, system integrators, and technical teams, ensuring end-to-end alignment across multiple SAP systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP IS-Retail and SAP IS-Oil.
Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead end-to-end architecture for S/4HANA implementations aligned to business needs and enterprise architecture.
- Design integrated solutions across SAP S/4HANA (RISE – Private Cloud), ECC, Fiori, GRC, Gateway, BTP, Commerce Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
- Own IS-Retail and IS-Oil functional design, including integrations and industry-specific capabilities.
Project & Program Leadership
- Act as core architecture lead within the S/4HANA program.
- Align architectural decisions across workstreams with program leadership, system integrators, and internal teams.
- Review/validate functional and technical designs, minimizing customization.
- Support blueprint, build, testing, deployment, and transition to steady-state operations.
Functional & Technical Leadership
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
- Guide teams on standard SAP vs. custom development decisions.
- Ensure cross-module integration across Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, Oil & Gas, and customer-facing systems.
- Serve as IS-Retail and IS-Oil SME within S/4HANA.
- Maintain working knowledge of SAP BASIS (landscape, transports, performance), ABAP standards and extensibility, and integration technologies (IDocs, APIs, OData, CPI, BTP).
- Oversee SAP and non-SAP integrations; ensure solutions are feasible, secure, and supportable.
Governance & Standards
- Enforce enterprise architecture standards; participate in design authority reviews.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and architectural gaps with mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- 8+ years SAP experience, including solution architecture and functional leadership.
- Mandatory IS-Retail and IS-Oil hands-on expertise.
- S/4HANA implementation experience (RISE/Private Cloud or HEC preferred).
- Experience in complex, multi-platform SAP landscapes and large transformation programs.
- Strong functional SAP expertise with ability to guide technical design.
- Solid understanding of SAP BASIS, ABAP, interfaces, and integration patterns.
- Experience with SAP Fiori architecture/UX and familiarity with SAP BTP and cloud solutions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills.
- Experience working with system integrators and external partners.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving ability; able to balance business and technical constraints.
