Position Overview:

We are seeking a self-driven Desktop Support Specialist with a strong focus on security patching to join our IT team. This role requires an individual capable of independently managing and executing patch management processes across corporate, warehouse, and store-based laptops and desktops. The ideal candidate will have experience with scripting and the use of tools such as ConnectWise and/or Microsoft InTune to ensure systems remain up to date and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage the patching process for all corporate, warehouse, and store desktops/laptops.
  • Deploy Microsoft and third-party updates using ConnectWise Automate and/or Microsoft InTune.
  • Develop and run basic scripts to automate and streamline patch management tasks.
  • Monitor patch deployment progress and remediate any failures or issues.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to minimize user disruption during patch rollouts.
  • Maintain documentation of patching procedures, schedules, and system compliance.
  • Ensure all systems comply with internal security standards and industry best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in desktop support or endpoint management.
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS environments and patch management concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with ConnectWise Automate and/or Microsoft InTune.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot basic scripts (PowerShell preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-location environment (e.g., corporate, retail, warehouse).
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tools and compliance reporting.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, or similar.
