Position

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Drum Miner Supervisor will support underground mining operations. This position is required to train/ operate drum mining equipment and assist with underground production activities. This role provides hands-on training and mentorship in underground operations, including equipment operation, ground control practices, and safety procedures. This position will be located at Esterhazy, SK at the Mosaic K3 Site. Position is based on a 7/7 shiftwork schedule and 12 hours/day; however, the candidate must be willing to work overtime.

Job Duties

The position requires that the person have the requisite knowledge, background, training and experience to safely oversee drum mining operations and ground control. Captures, validates and records data from shift production.

Identify and report hazardous ground conditions

Assist underground crews with mining and production activities Support equipment operators in maintaining production according to engineering specifications and site plans Follow the site Ground Control Management Plan and assist with monitoring ground conditions Safety Procedures & Requirements Follow underground safety protocols strictly, including PPE use and ventilation requirements Comply with all mine safety regulations, procedures, and the Ground Control Management Plan Participate actively in safety meetings and safety improvement initiatives Provide feedback to management regarding site deficiencies or potential hazards Qualifications Mine Supervision experience Ticket to supervise underground as per current Saskatchewan Mine Regulation Drum Mining experience required Ground Control experience required Mechanically inclined Computer skills; Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Detailed and goal oriented Problem-solving, time management and risk management skills are imperative Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Strong interpersonal skills and team leadership skills Values safety, health and a positive working environment Works well under pressure Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required
