Logistics Specialist
About the role
Our client is a global leader in their space with an awesome clothing brand. They are looking for a logistics specialist to join and support their import / export and distribution operations.
In office - Surrey, BC based.
Responsibilities
Coordinate international shipments (air, ocean, and courier) and ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and on-time delivery. Track shipments, resolve issues, and support customs clearance with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. Monitor logistics KPIs, carrier performance, freight spend, and prepare performance reports. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support budgeting and forecasting. Provide day-to-day guidance to Logistics Coordinators, manage escalations, balance workloads, and support training. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Maintain logistics records, reporting tools, meeting coordination, and administrative support.
Requirements:
Post secondary in supply chain, operations or related 3 years+ experience in freight forwarding, import/export, and customs compliance Experience with air and ocean transportation, trucking, Canada and US Customs Knowledge of Incoterms, customs rules and regulations Can work in high pressure environment with strong attention to detail
Salary depending on experience in the 70-75,000 range
