About the role
About this position:
What you’ll do:
- Under the direction of the Cook, assists in preparation all foods required as per daily production schedules and catering events
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of food production areas, equipment and kitchen, as per the sanitation plan and signs off mandatory records of completed work
- Employs Food Safe including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), protocols in all areas of work and follows the food safety plan
What you’ll need:
- Experience assisting in the preparation of meals in a health care environment preferred
- Awareness of provincial health and safety regulations
- Ability to effectively organize work to respond to needs of a high volume environment
- Good communication of English both orally and in writing;
- Food Safe - Level I certification required
