Client Ambassador (1-Year Contract)
About the role
We are hiring for this position out of our Vancouver office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.
This a 1-year fixed term opportunity.
About the work environment:
This is a fully in-office role, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm (PST) in our downtown Vancouver office located at 888 Dunsmuir St.
You are a highly motivated and skilled Client Ambassador with experience in providing exceptional customer service in a call center. You are organized, able to adapt quickly, and have great attention to detail. You also have a proven track record in relationship building and experience working within the financial services industry.
You excel at building relationship with clients and enjoy anticipating their needs. You are adaptable in the way you communicate with clients, as contact will primarily be over the phone with some email and in person interactions.
About the day to day:
- Respond to incoming customer calls and emails in a timely and professional manner, within agreed service levels.
- Support customer requests for opening accounts, including handling transactions and supporting customers who walk into the branch.
- Responsible for providing clients with GIC renewal reminder emails, and information regarding their new GIC accounts.
- Assist the deposit client services and administration teams with mail and fax item distribution, and outgoing mail items such as tax slips reissuing.
- Assist with maintaining and upkeep of Filebridge file storage.
- Assist and maintain the client appointment tracker.
- Stay up to date with all product and services offered by the Peoples Group family of financial services.
- Office Presence is required for this role as it is client facing.
About the qualifications:
- Minimum two years' experience in a customer service role.
- Minimum one year experience in financial services, branch experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of AML/KYC requirements.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, while consistently providing a high standard of service.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Bi-Lingual (Mandarin/Cantonese or French) is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of banking systems, such as DNA, is preferable.

Compensation:
The expected salary for this role is approximately $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
