THE JOB
RBC Amphitheatre is seeking an Afternoon Cleaning Supervisor. The Afternoon Cleaning Supervisor is a working supervisor who is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of the cleaning staff within the venue while also contributing to the cleaning efforts.
Job Functions:

Direct and supervise cleaning staff and other employees performing similar services as directed. Provide customer services by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.

On an ongoing basis lead and train staff to ensure that all staff members are well-informed on event specific details. Assist with managing breaks, managing positions in our cleaning team.

Assist management to ensure, compliance with all venue policies and procedures to include all safety regulations.

Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.

Partner with fellow crew members at the end of show to close the venue - this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section.

Oversee productivity and work assignments of the cleaning staff and communicate with management (or designated Manager) any challenges and status of all assignments prior to the conclusion of the shift.

Other tasks as assigned by the Cleaning Manager.

Enforce safety and safety according to venue policies.

Report incidents and counsel employees as required.
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Previous experience working as a supervisor or Superintendent
-
Previous experience in a customer service role, a strong asset
-
Must be highly motivated, take initiative.

Attention to detail, quality and accuracy
-
Able to work outdoors (rain or shine), among crowds and in a loud environment
-
Must be available for flexible working hours which could include weekends, evenings and holidays –as dictated by the event calendar
-
Must participate in Live Nation Canada zero waste/sustainability initiatives at the venue
-
Strong relationship building and communication skills
-
Ability to work independently
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying up to 50lb and occasional sitting

Job Posting Compensation Range/Rate: $22 per hour.

THE JOB
