The Opportunity
We are looking for an exceptional Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who will be an integral part of the Digital Transformation & Information Technology (IT) team. This role will be instrumental in the Foundation’s CRM transformation and the implementation of a new data warehouse and analytics environment – key steps in a broader digital transformation.

As our ideal candidate, you will ensure processes, integrations, and configurations are well documented, understood, and positioned for long-term success. You will quickly gain a deep understanding of business operations, processes, and stakeholder needs to clarify desired outcomes, and partner with the team to deliver solutions that align technology with business goals. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, end users, and IT to ensure systems and data effectively support fundraising, donor engagement, marketing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Systems Support

  • Provide day-to-day support for CRM, donation, fundraising, marketing, granting and financial platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, escalating to vendors as needed.
  • Monitor data integrity, workflows, and integrations across platforms.

Business Analysis & Documentation

  • Document existing system configurations, business processes, and data integrations as part of upcoming projects.
  • Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and automation.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to quickly learn their processes and desired outcomes, ensuring solutions are aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Translate business needs into technical and functional requirements for IT and vendor partners.

Data, Integrations & Analytics

  • Support and maintain data integrations between CRM, donation and granting platforms, websites, marketing systems, financials and the new data warehouse.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to define data requirements for analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and accessible for fundraising, stewardship, and operational insights.
  • Assist with the design and validation of dashboards, KPIs, and analytics used by fundraising and leadership teams.
  • Champion best practices in data governance and security.

Change Management & End-User Engagement

  • Act as a liaison between business teams and IT, ensuring end-user needs are understood and met.
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify business goals and outcomes, helping to shape solutions that support adoption and measurable success.
  • Provide training, documentation, and guidance to staff on effective use of systems and data.
  • Support organizational change management efforts to encourage adoption of new tools, processes, and data-driven decision making.
  • Communicate project impacts, timelines, and status updates in clear, accessible ways.

Project Support & Delivery

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the CRM transformation and data warehouse implementation, along with other digital initiatives.
  • Develop and manage test cases, coordinate unit and user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles, validate results, and track/prioritize issues for resolution.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of new systems, features, and integrations.
  • Lead and/or coordinate smaller-scale projects (e.g., new platform features, process improvements, reporting solutions), ensuring scope, timelines, and deliverables are met.
  • Support vendor relationships, ensuring deliverables align with ACHF’s requirements.

As our Ideal candidate, you have:

  • A post-secondary degree/diploma in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Application Support, or similar role. Suitable combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience with nonprofit fundraising systems is preferred (e.g., Raiser’s Edge/RENxt, SmartSimple, Classy, Luminate, Salesforce or equivalent) combined with a strong understanding of CRM, data integrations, and reporting tools.
  • Working experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g. MailChimp, Constant Contact, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent), websites, and data integrations.
  • Knowledge of SQL, APIs, data mapping, or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.
  • Previous experience documenting systems, requirements, and processes.
  • An overall understanding of data warehousing, business intelligence, and/or analytics environments. Experience with implementation or business use would be ideal.
  • Demonstrated success in leading or supporting smaller projects, including planning, requirements gathering, testing, and rollout. Familiarity with structured project management or agile approaches (certification is an asset but not required).
  • Proficiency with structured testing practices, including test case design, managing unit and user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles, and the use of defect tracking tools to validate and manage issues through resolution. With demonstrated strength in problem-solving and analytical thinking, you have the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical/business issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff across the organization and support positive vendor relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide teams through process change and system adoption. You have a collaborative approach and build consensus when working with diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. You have the ability to quickly learn business context and processes, and to translate organizational needs into actionable technology solutions
  • A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to turn challenges into opportunities. This is combined with a learning mindset and curiosity that drives you to explore new tools, methods, and approaches.
