About the role
Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Surveillance Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring interior and exterior areas of a property by closed circuit television cameras and maintaining visual records. Works closely with other departments such as security and IT, to ensure a coordinated response to any incidents. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitors, documents and reports violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access
- Maintains logs and records; storing records for evidence purposes
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on conditions of surveillance facilities and equipment
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education And Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or Post secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
- Minimum 1 year of work experience; experience in security or surveillance an asset
- Computer proficiency
- Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time
- Adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures
- Inquisitive, investigative mind, able to identify suspicious behaviors /transactions and make sound judgments based on this;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize;
- Must be able to work independently, without close direct supervision, and apply good judgment and discretion under pressure;
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within applicable province (New Brunswick).
Work Environment Considerations
- Secure back-office environment, sitting and watching footage for long periods of time
- The role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to 24/7 operation, and will have non-traditional work hours including holidays, evening, overnight or weekend shifts.
