About the role
Rychiger is seeking a Supply Chain Manager NA to build and lead a high-performing supply chain across Canada and the United States, supporting machine manufacturing, spare parts, and aftermarket service for Rychiger Canada (RYCA) and Rychiger North America (RYNA). This role will drive supplier development, procurement strategy, and sourcing localization, with a focus on growing North American sourcing of commercial components, machined parts, fabrications, and assemblies while reducing dependency on overseas and intercompany supply. The position works cross-functionally with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Service, Sales, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a North American sourcing strategy aligned with company growth objectives Identify opportunities to improve responsiveness, reduce lead times, lower total landed costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience Lead localization initiatives that reduce tariff exposure and supply chain risk Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs and performance metrics Identify, qualify, negotiate, and manage suppliers throughout Canada and the U.S. across categories including commercial off-the-shelf components, electrical and controls, pneumatics and motion control, machined and fabricated parts, weldments, assemblies, and contract manufacturing services Build strategic supplier partnerships focused on quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and long-term growth Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and qualification reviews Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives Monitor market conditions and supplier capacity constraints Collaborate with Finance and project leaders to support budgeting and forecasting activities Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management to identify material requirements and long-lead components Develop alternate sourcing strategies and last-time-buy recommendations Work with Engineering to support component standardization and approved vendor strategies Develop supplier scorecards and conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers Monitor supplier quality, delivery, responsiveness, and commercial competitiveness Lead corrective action activities for underperforming suppliers Establish continuous improvement expectations throughout the supplier network Improve procurement and sourcing processes within Genius ERP and future enterprise systems Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into supplier and sourcing performance Standardize procurement procedures, sourcing methodologies, and supplier onboarding processes
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field SCMP, CSCP, CPSM, CPIM, or equivalent designation an asset 7–10 years of progressive supply chain/procurement/sourcing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity Proven experience building supplier networks across Canada and the U.S., ideally within industrial machinery, automation, or packaging equipment Strong negotiation and contract management skills ERP experience required; Genius ERP experience an asset
