Our engineering consulting firm is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team, integrated directly at one of our major clients, Pratt & Whitney Canada.
The position is set in a dynamic industrial environment, where we work in close collaboration with the client as well as the general contractor on site. Projects are of small to medium scale but are characterized by a high volume, requiring rigor, efficiency, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the structural project lead on site
- Design and validate structural solutions adapted to an existing industrial environment
- Coordinate work with internal teams (mechanical, electrical, process, etc.)
- Work closely with the client and the general contractor
- Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and safety requirements
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings
- Provide technical support during construction
Desired Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant structural experience
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Experience in an industrial environment (a strong asset)
- Ability to take on technical leadership for projects
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, client-integrated environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of projects
- Excellent communication skills
