Position Summary
Echo NDE is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood Service Corporation and provides full service non-destructive testing, inspection, and integrity services throughout North America. Our wide array of services is tailored towards maintenance, integrity, construction for both facility and pipeline sectors to a range of industries. As a company driven on customer service and a high-quality product, we strive to offer leading edge technology and our team of technicians are driven to provide the highest quality possible. We are currently seeking a CGSB Certified RT2 Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position supporting our Calgary, AB operations. Candidates must be available to work a dedicated night shift schedule.
Responsibilities
Prepare and set up radiographic testing equipment, including X-ray or gamma ray sources, detectors, and imaging devices. Calibrate the equipment according to specific standards and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results. Verify the setup to comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Perform radiographic inspections on various materials and components, such as welds, castings, and structural parts, to detect internal flaws, discontinuities, or defects. Analyze radiographic images to identify and assess the presence of any anomalies or defects, such as cracks, voids, inclusions, or misalignments. Document and report the findings, providing detailed descriptions of any defects found and their potential impact on the integrity of the tested object. Make recommendations for further action, such as repairs or re-testing, based on the evaluation of the radiographic images. Follow standards and procedures and monitor to ensure accuracy of results and meets quality and safety objectives and project time-lines. Utilize written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
Requirements
Current CGSB RT Level 2 certification required. Additional CGSB certifications are considered a strong asset. Demonstrated ability to safely perform radiographic testing activities in accordance with applicable codes, procedures, client requirements, and regulatory standards. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards in industrial environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, coworkers, and site personnel. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of technical performance and professionalism. Ability to accurately document inspection results, prepare reports, and maintain detailed inspection records. Willingness and ability to work night shifts and overtime as required to support operational and client needs. Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record. Why work with Echo NDE?
