Regional FP&A Manager
Our client, a well-established national organization with operations across Canada, is seeking a Regional FP&A Manager to provide financial leadership and strategic support to a multi-site business portfolio. This role partners closely with operational leaders and corporate finance to deliver insightful analysis, drive forecasting and planning activities, and support key business decisions that enhance profitability and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities for an assigned region. Provide financial analysis and business insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including variance analysis and performance commentary. Partner with regional leadership and branch teams to identify trends, opportunities, and risks impacting results. Perform scenario analysis, investment evaluations, and ad hoc financial modeling to support growth initiatives and capital projects. Analyze labour costs, overhead expenses, and operational metrics to improve efficiency and maximize profitability. Support new initiatives, expansion projects, and acquisition-related analysis. Monitor internal controls, asset management practices, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Recommend process improvements and participate in projects aimed at enhancing reporting and financial systems. Provide financial support for month-end, year-end, and ongoing operational requirements across multiple locations.
Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; CPA designation or MBA considered an asset. Minimum five years of progressive experience in FP&A or commercial finance, ideally within a multi-location or operationally focused environment. Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities. Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience working with BI and ERP systems. Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operational stakeholders. Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel periodically within Canada (approximately 25%).
