Role: The Human Resources Business Partner reports to the Human Resources Vice-President and will work closely with other HRBPs within an HR team of approximately 13 people. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to their client group and be a key player for employees and management on HR best practices. The HRBP also has strong project management skills and is actively involved in the development of global projects and initiatives
Your Day with Equisoft:
HR Support & Advice
- Act as ambassador of Equisoft’s employer brand by actively building and supporting the employee experience
- Promote the values and culture of our organization
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and ensure compliance with all employment and labor laws
- Provide advice regarding performance management as well as compensation management (for example, coaching, counseling, career development, development plans), and support annual review processes
- Advise and support employees and managers in the application and interpretation of policies, procedures and legislation
- Partner with leadership to assess organizational structure and recommend strategic improvements
- Act as a liaison between the various HR team members to ensure that HR services are provided and needs of internal clients are met in a timely fashion
- Accompany and advise the managers of their own group concerning best practices in human resources, such as staffing, change of management, labour relations, training or performance management
- Stay informed regarding trends in human resources management, labour law and the labour market to develop global solutions, programs and policies
Development and HR projects
- Participate in the continuous improvement of human resource practices and tools in collaboration with the HR team
- Participate in global projects and new initiatives to support HR objectives aligned with the business goals
Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant HR experience
- Excellent knowledge of Québec and Canada labour laws; experience with US labour laws an asset
- Specialization in Organizational Development is a strong asset
- Experience in IT environments and financial services or insurance industries
- Experience in an international company
- Excellent proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, team work and client service skills
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and policies
- Strong time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Initiative and decision-making skills
