Our Chalk River location is seeking an Enterprise Architecture Manager to lead the development and governance of CNL’s enterprise architecture and to drive the implementation of transformative technology solutions.

What will you be doing!

Leading and managing the enterprise architecture team, including IT hardware, software, and cloud architects, as well as other architecture specialists. Providing thought leadership and recommendations to senior management and executives on strategic technology planning and digital transformation initiatives. Conducting regular performance evaluations for architecture team members and providing coaching and professional development opportunities. Collaborating with business leaders and technology stakeholders to understand business requirements, identifying opportunities for IT innovation, and proposing architectural solutions to support business growth and efficiency. Providing strategic direction and guidance to the architecture team, ensuring alignment with the organization's business goals and IT strategy. Overseeing the development and maintenance of the IT enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap and ensuring its integration with overall IT planning and digital transformation initiatives. Guiding the development and governance of architectural principles, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, interoperability, and security across the organization's IT systems. Fostering collaboration between the architecture team and other technology and business teams to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects and initiatives. Conducting regular assessments of the organization's IT architecture to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Reviewing and approving architectural designs and solutions proposed by the architecture team, providing feedback and guidance as needed. Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in enterprise architecture and IT management. Developing and maintaining strong vendor relationships to leverage external expertise and innovative technologies as needed. Fostering collaboration between the architecture team and other technology and business teams to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects and initiatives. Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What We Are Looking For

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - a master's degree is preferred. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., The Open Group Architecture Framework [TOGAF] Certified, Certified Enterprise Architect, etc.) are an asset. Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in an Information Technology role. Proven experience in a senior-level IT architecture role, with a strong background in enterprise architecture and IT management. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of IT architects, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail. Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong leadership abilities and the capability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. In-depth knowledge of IT architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar frameworks. Strong understanding of business processes, systems integration, and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, APIs, microservices, and digital platforms. Security Clearance Eligibility Required Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.” Working Conditions

Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.

Please note: This is a hybrid position, with a combination of remote work and onsite presence at our Chalk River Laboratory, Ontario.
