We’re seeking a strategic, passionate, and delivery-focused Product Director to lead a portfolio of adjudication and administration solutions that streamline claims processing, benefits administration, and provider data management. This role is ideal for a seasoned product leader with a passion for simplifying healthcare operations through technology and driving measurable impact across insurers, employers, healthcare providers, and plan members.
Reporting to the Vice President, Payor & Provider, Product, you will be a critical member of the leadership team. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of seasoned professionals and collaborate with your peers across Payor & Provider Solutions and TELUS Health, to drive a product strategy that will anticipate the needs of our stakeholders and customers, and drive the organization’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor and grow a team of product managers and product development team members, fostering a culture of engagement, ownership, innovation, and customer first mindset
- Product Leadership: Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and performance of a suite of enterprise-grade platforms including:
- Adjudicare – a real-time claims adjudication engine supporting third-party administrators/payors
- Adjudication - drug, extended health and dental claims adjudication and transport technology supporting Carriers
- Business Intelligence - data enablement and reporting solutions
- Flexit360 – a benefits administration portal enabling employers and employees to manage group benefits with flexibility and transparency
- Customer-Centric Innovation: Deeply understand the needs of TPAs, insurers, employers, and healthcare professionals to deliver intuitive, scalable solutions that reduce administrative burden and improve user experience
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, sales, and operations to deliver high-quality releases, drive adoption, and ensure alignment with business goals
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and maintain market leadership
- Performance & Optimization: Define and track KPIs across platforms, continuously improving product performance, user satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior product leadership role driving the execution of all processes in the product management lifecycle including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development and go-to-market strategy
- 5+ years leadership expertise leading a team of professionals, driving excellence in team member engagement and development, providing coaching and mentoring, and fostering a high performance culture
- Deep understanding of healthcare technology, insurance claims processing, and benefits administration
- Financial expertise developing and managing large capital budgets, developing compelling business cases, revenue impact assessments and ROI analyses
- Proven track record of launching and scaling B2B SaaS products
- Experience managing complex, multi-product portfolios with proven success
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive product decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders
- Proven ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization in a cross-functional environment
- Ability to foster constructive and collaborative relationships
- Passion for team development and growth
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare regulatory requirements
- Background working with third-party administrators, insurance companies, or healthcare providers
- Experience successfully answering RFP’s
- Experience with real-time transaction processing and rules-based engines
- Experience bringing AI products and features to market
Salary Range: $128,000-$192,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 30%
Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
