We are seeking a skilled Project Lead to join our Design team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed architect or experienced designer with strong expertise in construction documentation and project coordination. They will support multi-family residential and mixed-use projects from early design through construction, working closely with internal teams and consultants to deliver coordinated, code-compliant documents. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential. This is a great opportunity to grow within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do Project & Team Management This role requires managing internal architectural teams and external consultants to meet project milestones, ensuring construction documents are completed efficiently and on schedule. It also involves overseeing contract scope compliance and coordinating with leadership when delays occur.
Design & Development Oversight The position includes participating in early design phases, contributing to site planning, material selection, and building image. It also involves coordinating the design team's efforts through all stages of development to final occupancy, including collaboration with the interior design team on amenities and finishes.
Consultant & Technical Coordination The role demands directing and aligning the work of multiple engineering and specialty consultants, such as structural, mechanical, civil, and envelope consultants to produce integrated construction documentation and specifications.
Construction Support & Administration Responsibilities include leading construction-phase support such as managing RFIs, shop drawing reviews, site instructions, and change orders, as well as assisting the Architect of Record with site visits and reporting.
Must-Have Qualifications What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed architect in a Canadian province is preferred
- Minimum of two (2+) years of experience; multi-family residential experience is considered an asset
- Preferred five (5+) years of demonstrated experience managing projects within an architectural or design office
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Acrobat, and other relevant design software
- Ability to prepare and coordinate construction documents across architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
- Experience with wood frame construction and concrete parking garage detailing is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of national and provincial building and energy codes
- Experience in preparing detailed project specifications
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration, including site reviews
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide creative solutions in a collaborative environment
- Proactive communicator in coordinating construction documentation across professional teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Willingness to travel as required by project needs
