Role Summary:

Our GTA Branch is looking for an energetic Fire Alarm Estimator to work as part of our team performing design take-offs and building estimates. This is a branch office-based role working directly out of the Mississauga office 5 days a week. This is a new vacancy.

Job Responsibilities:

Read electrical specifications related to fire alarm and life safety.

Review architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings to determine equipment to be used as well as remark on any identified design flaws.

Create quotes for contractors and building owners.

Job Requirements:

Electrical engineering technologist coupled with at least 5 years of industry experience.

Practical experience working with fire alarm system control equipment and devices.

Solid understanding of Building & Electrical Codes.

Solid understanding of ULC standards as they apply to fire alarm controls.

Familiarity with other standards relating to fire system installation (NFPA, CSA)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Must have a valid Provincial driver's license with a clean driving record.

More about the position:

Experience working with Edwards fire alarm systems & equipment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Practical AutoCAD experience is an asset

Strong detail-oriented, analytical and organizational skills.

Adaptable to changing environments.

Ability to work under pressure.

Self-motivator with a positive outlook

Ability to work with minimal supervision/self-motivated and desire to work on a winning team.

Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000
