YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer, you will work as part of the Technical Services Department. You will help achieve departmental and production goals while upholding Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of conduct, and environmental commitments.

• Design, develop, and implement computer applications for mine design, modelling, mapping, and monitoring mine conditions;

• Create drill pattern designs using operational parameters;

• Produce mine phase designs and shortterm mine plans;

• Review and evaluate shortterm plans to confirm they meet operational objectives;

• Prepare monthly and weekly plans, coordinating activities and adjusting them as needed;

• Determine safe and efficient mining methods for various deposits;

• Design ventilation systems, mine services, haulage systems, and supporting infrastructure;

• Oversee survey and drilling/blasting activities to ensure alignment with planning priorities;

• Monitor daily work activities to ensure compliance with issued plans and specifications and analyze results once work is completed;

• Conduct research to support decision-making and improve procedures, technology, and methodologies;

• Stay up to date with Mine design trends and apply new knowledge to your work;

• Collaborate with the geology department to develop diamond drill target guidance based on geological confidence within the LOM plan;

• Assist the Projects teams, as required;

• Train team members in daily activities to ensure strong cross functional capabilities across the group;

• Perform other related duties to support team success.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Degree in Mining Engineering;

• 5-8 years of underground mine operation/engineering experience;

• Experience in gold or other high unit value metals;

• Working knowledge of mine design software is required (Deswik);

• Experience in Ground control and ventilation departments is considered an asset;

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or the ability to get P. Eng status within a year of your hire date;

• Good understanding of regulatory standards related to mining in Ontario;

• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;

• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work expectations.

• Schedule: 5/2 or 4/3 schedule at our Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON

Minimum Salary :

$86,000CAD

Maximum Salary :

$114,000CAD
