POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Position Available
SALARY: $46,862 - $65,993 per annum
POSITION LOCATION: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Health and Community Services, the Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of responsibilities ensuring effective and efficient management support and assistance. The incumbent provides administrative support to Program Chairs, Instructors, and students, and develops collaborative relationships ensuring support is delivered in a proactive and timely manner. Acting as the Chair’s initial contact for issues related to students, staff and industry, the incumbent interacts on a daily basis with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and responds to issues of varying complexity. Confidentiality and decorum are required in all aspects of this role.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Formal education in office or business administration. An equivalent combination of training and experience in administration or business may be considered
- Experience providing support and performing office administrative responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills including the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including building and maintaining trust, respect and appreciation for other’s needs and perspectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a Team environment
- Advanced skills and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact and diplomacy when dealing with all clients
- Experience with financial management responsibilities including monitoring and tracking budget expenditures, creating and maintaining financial reports, preparing quotes and responding to inquiries
- Strong problem-solving skills, decision making skills and analytical skills and the ability to deal with issues of varying complexity
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a post-secondary environment in an administration or support role
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
