About the role

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Mechanics and repairers, general. Cabinetmaking and millwork. Work setting: Wood products manufacturer. Tasks: Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines. Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Program CNC machine tools. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Security system. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Hardworking. Versatility.
