Short Description
The Account Executive Engineer (AE) is the primary link between Schaeffler Aerospace and its customers. As an AE you will be assigned a suite of accounts and become their main point of contact for the business. You will learn your customers' business and foster a positive working relationship with them, delivering their current requirements while positioning Schaeffler to also meet their future needs. You will be challenged to grow your accounts by identifying opportunities that align with Schaeffler's capabilities and take the lead on securing the business. Throughout your role, an in-depth understanding of the technical challenges of bearing design and manufacturing will serve you well, along with a strong drive and sense of ownership for your accounts.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Build network and partnerships with major Aerospace customers to support profitable growth and long-term business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Ensure excellent customer service through timely and professional communication, both virtually and in-person.
- Support the delivery of products through coordination of supply chain, customer approvals, and new qualifications.
- Manage the successful introduction of new product to the production environment using Advanced Product Quality Planning.
- Review and implement customer or production changes to product and their implications on cost, delivery, and adherence to requirements.
- Prepare and conduct negotiations related to product quantities, pricing, and other commercial conditions.
- Collect, evaluate, and report information about market trends, technologies, competitors, and customer development needs.
- Contribute to the budget planning process and plan revenues for the assigned customers.
- Consult with clients on available product assortment, its potential applications and possible variances to best meet customer requirements
Specific Job Functions
- Quote new product and design changes.
- Manage new product introductions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to customers.
- Review customer blueprints, specifications, and purchase orders.
- Interface with other departments within the business to address customer concerns.
- Review and prepare documentation for submission to customers.
- Forecast future demand.
- Report to group leader and senior management.
Required Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or similar degree.
- Ability to work mostly in the office and to travel, as needed.
Preferred Experience
- 5 years in aerospace or a related field.
- Sales or customer facing interactions.
- Experience working on negotiations is an asset.
