Sales Representative, Consulting

Position Overview We are seeking a Sales Representative, Consulting to support clients within the Environmental, Geotechnical, and Multi-Disciplinary Consulting sectors. This is primarily an inside sales and account management role responsible for managing the full customer lifecycle—from quotation through order fulfillment—while delivering exceptional customer service and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.

This position is approximately: 80% Inside Sales, Customer Service & Quoting 20% Account Management

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, highly organized, and comfortable working with technical products and solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inside Sales & Customer Service (80%) Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and sales requests. Manage inbound sales opportunities from both internal and external customers. Prepare quotations and provide product recommendations, specifications, pricing, and availability. Convert quotations into orders and oversee the process through delivery. Coordinate rental equipment requirements, scheduling, returns, and servicing. Provide customers with updates on inventory availability, lead times, substitutions, shipping, and logistics. Maintain accurate customer records, activities, and opportunities within the CRM system. Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities and meeting response time expectations. Account Management (20%)

Manage and grow a portfolio of Environmental Consulting and related industry accounts. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships. Increase wallet share within assigned accounts. Conduct customer reviews and support business development initiatives. Identify new business opportunities and untapped markets. Maintain an active opportunity pipeline. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with internal teams including: Estimating Vendors and Suppliers Business Development Order Desk Logistics Operations Procurement Manufacturing Collaborate across departments to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and customer expectations are exceeded. Technical Support Support customers with product applications and technical configurations. Participate in project scoping discussions. Assist with telemetry solutions and data logger monitoring packages. Share customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights with leadership.

Qualifications

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in: Inside Sales Full-Cycle Order Desk Account Management Customer Service Preferred Industry Experience Experience in one or more of the following industries is considered a strong asset: Environmental Consulting Building Materials Drilling Industrial Supply Technical Products Pumps Construction Supply Instrumentation Industrial Distribution

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer service. Preferred Technical Knowledge Experience or exposure to any of the following markets is considered an asset: Environmental Consulting Geotechnical Water Well Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Diamond Core Drilling

Experience with structured sales methodologies is also considered an asset, including: Sandler Selling SPIN Selling Miller Heiman

Software Experience Candidates should ideally have experience with: Microsoft Office Suite CRM systems Microsoft Dynamics CRM Microsoft Dynamics ERP Great Plains Opportunity Pipeline Management tools Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a driven, customer-focused sales professional who enjoys managing relationships, solving customer challenges, and working collaboratively across multiple teams.
