Main Responsibilities:
- Inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance of vehicle fire suppression systems and other types of Fire & Life Safety Equipment at various customer sites
- Conducting life safety inspections and audits, with value-add suggestions for follow-up and maintenance
- Performing site-specific training for owners and end-users
- Vehicle fire suppression maintenance and repairs on multiple brands (Ansul, Kidde, Fogmaker, Amerex)
- Maintain service vehicle, inventory and tooling
- Work closely with service coordinator to schedule service work and maintain inventory levels
- Complete all applicable health and safety paperwork associated with company policies and ISO procedures.
- Being the Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers and their onsite safety needs
Qualifications:
- Experience, education, or training & working with fire protection and/or suppression systems is a strong asset
- Mechanically inclined and eager to learn and build a career in a hands-on technician role in the service industry
- Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands-on role with vehicles or other motorized equipment is a strong asset, but not a requirement for an eager individual who wants to learn
- Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools
- A valid clean driver’s license and ability to pass a security background check and drug and alcohol test
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work with technology and mobile devices
What we offer:
- Flexible work schedules: 14 days on / 14 days off (Wednesday–Tuesday) Monday–Friday schedule
- Competitive starting hourly wage at $26–$28/hour, based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity
- Paid training and certifications, with potential eligibility for on-call premiums

- All out-of-town business travel expenses covered, when required
Physical Safety Requirements
This is a physically demanding, safety-sensitive role that involves working with various types of equipment and in diverse work environments. Candidates must be able to meet the following essential requirements:
- Safely lift, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs independently, with strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Work comfortably in confined or restricted spaces, including climbing ladders and navigating walkways on large equipment
- Successfully complete pre-employment and ongoing drug & alcohol testing, as well as criminal background checks, in accordance with company policy and client site requirements
