Your Daily Contribution & Impact:

  • Support Outbound Supervisors and team leader in daily tasks.
  • Research and investigate shipment variances & discrepancies.
  • Coordinate priority of shipments to be processed in shipping department.
  • Coordinate shipments, carrier equipment, carrier pick up and loading times.
  • Wrap, band and affix shipping labels on outgoing pallets.
  • Prepares labels, waybills, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and other declarations required for shipment.
  • Verify, communicate and keep records of all outgoing shipments.
  • Communication with Customer Care and Carrier dispatch.
  • Assist in training shipping functions to outbound associates.
  • Work with other Distribution Centers (DC) about orders and inventory transfers.
  • Operate machinery (MHE) to support shipping dock when required.
  • Provides advice and support to other departments on warehouse matters.
  • Participate in the planning of special projects to ensure the best use of the company’s resources.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with governmental regulations.
  • Identify, through a proactive approach, potential cost-saving and efficiency gain opportunities to improve overall operating metrics.
  • Other related tasks as assigned by Manager.

Expertise & Essential Skills:

  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution and/or automotive industry is an asset.
  • Experience and abilities with warehouse management system (WMS), RF Units, ERP is an asset.
  • Ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
