Position: Full Time Field Support Unit - Security Guard

Hours: Continental Nights 1800-0600

Averaging Agreement (OT after 88 Hours) Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Posting Date: February 6, 2026

Internal Closing Date: February 13, 2026

External Closing Date: February 28, 2026

This position requires a personal Vehicle with G2 or G and must be able to clean shave as per the N-95 mask fit test.

Job Description:

  • Working on assigned shifts at different sites in All Regions
  • You will provide proactive and reactive security patrols in buildings and hospitals and response to fire and emergency incidents
  • Display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.
  • Provide Use of Force/Restraint as required and directed under the Mental Health Act
  • Provide security escort service to staff and visitors as requested.
  • Provide motor vehicle assistance to staff and or visitors as required.
  • Accountable for keeping accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service and write accurate reports upon investigations or reportable occurrences in timely manner upon completion of occurrence.
  • Security Guards shall warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
  • Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
  • Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly
  • Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary.

Prerequisites:

  • Immunization Record (Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
  • Covid Vaccine two doses
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Willing to complete N95 Mask fit clean-shaven requirement
  • Must have a reliable vehicle
  • Must be proficient in English (both oral and written)
