About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and performance of enterprise-grade Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. You will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and automating comprehensive test strategies to validate complex authentication and authorization workflows. Working within an agile team, you will bridge the gap between technical quality engineering and security compliance, ensuring that access controls meet rigorous standards through hands-on control testing and automated verification.
In this role, you will
Lead the Quality Engineering (QE) efforts for IAM-related initiatives, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for authentication and authorization workflows. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium to streamline regression testing and improve deployment velocity. Execute rigorous control testing to verify that identity access policies, user provisioning, and de-provisioning processes function according to security requirements and audit standards. Analyze functional requirements to develop detailed test plans and test cases that address both "happy path" and complex security edge cases. Collaborate with developers, security architects, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot defects and ensure the robustness of the identity platform. Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.
Required Skills
Experience Level: 5–10 years of professional experience in Quality Engineering, with a specific focus on IAM systems. IAM Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of Authentication, Authorization, RBAC/ABAC models, and user lifecycle management. Prior experience with leading IAM platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Ping Identity, Okta, or ForgeRock). Proficiency in validating identity services through API testing (REST/SOAP) and querying backend databases or LDAP directories. Automation Proficiency: Strong technical ability to design and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium. Quality Engineering: Extensive experience across the full QE lifecycle, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management. Security Validation: Hands-on experience validating access control mechanisms, including SSO, MFA, and delegated administration workflows.
