Job Summary
The Sr. Specialist AV & Technology is responsible for the oversight management, support, continuous evolution and optimization of all audiovisual (AV) systems and operational technologies within Corporate Services. This role ensures enterprise –grade reliability, security, scalability and seamless technology performance across all meeting spaces, events, and operational systems that support facilities, operations, and physical security functions.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, Operations & Physical Security, the AV/Technology Specialist acts as the technology lead for Corporate Services and is the primary point of contact for all Corporate Services technology platforms, driving innovation and ensuring they are reliable, secure, and aligned with organizational needs. The incumbent works collaboratively with IT, Facilities, Security, and external vendors to deliver an exceptional end-user and operational experience. The role carries accountability for system performance and technology lifecycle planning, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and risk management frameworks.
What you will do:
AV Systems and Meeting Technology
Owns the end-to-end integration strategy for AV and operational technologies, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, embedding best in class standards and long-term technology roadmaps by:
- Managing and maintaining the seamless operations of all AV and conferencing systems, including meeting room displays, video conferencing, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms).
- Accountable for the reliability and resilience of Corporate Services technologies, including developing contingency plans and ensuring systems support business continuity and emergency response requirements.
- Ensure all meeting rooms are fully operational and ready for use, including daily system checks and preventive maintenance, ensuring readiness and reliability.
- Lead incident response and service restoration for critical AV and operational technologies, ensuring minimal disruption or downtime to business-critical meetings and events.
- Support hybrid and in-person events, including town halls, Board meetings, and special functions requiring audio, video, or live streaming support.
- Manage AV inventory and asset lifecycle, including upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and define investment priorities to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
- In consultation with IT, develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for AV and Corporate Services technologies aligned with business and workplace strategies
- Establish technology standards, architecture principles and governance frameworks for Corporate Services systems,
- Provide strategic recommendations and business cases to senior leadership for capital investments.
Technology Integration & Support
- Work closely with IT teams to integrate AV systems with enterprise platforms and ensure network compatibility and security compliance.
- Collaborate with Facilities and Corporate Services staff to plan and execute new room builds, office renovations, and technology upgrades.
- Develop and maintain user guides, quick-reference materials, and training sessions for staff on AV and meeting technologies.
- Stay current on emerging AV, conferencing, and collaboration technologies to recommend system improvements and innovations.
- Support technology upgrades, room designs and the integration of new conference or collaboration tools.
Corporate Services Technology Management
- Serve as the technology lead and subject matter expert for all systems owned and managed by Corporate Services, including:
-Nuvolo– Computer Automated Facility Management (CAFM) system
-C- Cure 9000– Door access control system
-VTS– Mobile security credentials platform
-Relaxx– Locker access control system
-Avigilon– Video surveillance system
-Engage– Desk booking and workspace management platform
-Traction Guest– Visitor management system
-EcoStruxure– Environmental and critical space monitoring platform
Key activities include:
- Acting as the liaison between Corporate Services and IT for system integration, security, and data management.
- Coordinating vendor relationships, service agreements, and system upgrades or maintenance schedules.
- Managing user access, permissions, and training for departmental applications.
- Monitoring system performance, resolving issues, and escalating technical concerns as required.
- Supporting the evaluation and implementation of new technologies that improve operational efficiency or occupant experience.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational standards for technology governance, cybersecurity, and data privacy.
Vendor and Project Coordination

Coordinate with external AV service providers, integrators, and maintenance contractors.

Support the Director of Facilities, Operations & Physical Security in vendor selection, budgeting, and project management for AV installations or upgrades.

Participate in planning and delivery of capital projects involving technology infrastructure

The expected annual base salary range for this role is: $71,000 - $109,000 CAD
