Job Description:

To provide friendly and efficient cashier transactions at the Food Service location while maintaining a hygienic work area. The incumbent will assist in stocking shelves and making coffee when able.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completes cashier transactions and provide correct change if required;
  • Ensure drink fridges, coffee area and cashier shelving are stocked;
  • Provides efficient service, keeping areas clean at all times including server counters;
  • Cleans, cuts and prepares fruit and vegetables for use in daily menu as required;
  • Prepares sandwiches as required;
  • Performs housekeeping duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Secondary School (Grade 12) diploma;
  • Experience in a food service related industry and knowledge of food preparation an asset. Experience handling cash if applying for cashier positions an asset;
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team atmosphere;
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure;
  • Ability of providing speedy, efficient, courteous and tactful service;
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and stock a variety of merchandise;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill;
  • Knowledge in kitchen sanitation and safety standards an asset.
