We currently have a full-time opportunity available for an Organizational Development (OD) Coach & Consultant in the Learning & Organizational Development team.
Position Summary: Organizational Development (OD) Coach & Consultant role is focused on fostering a learning culture at the hospital at all organizational levels. They facilitate team development by identifying and applying appropriate tools to analyze individual and group behaviour, then partner with clients to identify possibilities for improvement. The OD Coach & Consultant partners with other members on the People(s), Culture and Experience team to support leadership development, engagement, and talent management priorities.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities include:
- Conducts needs assessment, team diagnostics, and evaluations to provide consultation and input on effective approaches to improve local work climates and team dynamics
- Designs, develops, and delivers comprehensive learning experiences that support leadership and talent development across the entire learning lifecycle. This includes crafting engaging program content, managing logistics, facilitating participant and leader communications, delivering dynamic sessions, conducting program evaluations, and implementing strategies to sustain learning and application post-program
- Liaise and maintain strong partnerships with external professionals and vendors as required to support organizational development initiatives.
The OD Coach & Consultant will bring the following:
- Advanced degree in Leadership, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, Human Development, Adult Education or a related discipline OR 10 years of progressive work experience in these fields in lieu of a graduate degree
- Demonstrates deep expertise in the science and application of human and organizational behavior, leveraging advanced knowledge of career development and leadership theories to design and implement impactful talent management and adult learning initiatives that drive individual growth and organizational success
- Certification backed by experience with various psychometric assessment tools (e.g. Core Strengths, SDI, DISC, EQi 2.0, MBTI, etc.)
- Coaching Certification would be considered an asset
- A strong knowledge and demonstrated applied understanding of inclusion, diversity and equity concepts
- 5 to 8 years of experience in internal and/or external leadership roles that required you to consult in the areas of organizational development, organizational effectiveness, individual and team coaching, and/or continuous improvement
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership development and group facilitation – both virtual and in-person
- Experience in strategy deployment, cultural transformation, project management, and change leadership
- Strong problem-solving and analytic skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent influencing and relationship management skills, capable of balancing and integrating multiple perspectives
- Demonstrated ability to help people build insights that lead to new habits and behaviours
- Proven emotional intelligence and agility
- Communicates effectively, listens actively, and works collaboratively with others to co-create solutions that are responsive and respectful of diverse stakeholder needs and perspectives
- Works independently but also enjoys the collaborative process and eagerly partners with others at all levels of the organization to bring key initiatives to fruition
- Is an agile, resilient, adaptive problem-solver who sees challenges as opportunities
- Thinks systemically and understands how to leverage opportunities while also appreciating how organizational issues and challenges impact adoption of new concepts and practices
