About the role
Copper Beach Bar + Kitchen is currently hiring an experienced Bartender/Server (Part-Time) for our cozy pub that offers a warm atmosphere in the heart of Britannia Beach! If you’re looking for a fun working environment with awesome customers and teammates, this could be the perfect role for you!
Located at 101 Main St, in the beautiful Britannia Beach community, Copper Beach Bar + Kitchen is part of an exciting new development opened in September 2024, paying homage to the Britannia Copper Mine and its rich history.
This unique spot features a spectacular patio with breathtaking views of the famous Britannia Mine and Howe Sound, making it a one-of-a-kind destination for locals and visitors alike.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greet customers and take orders
- Mix and prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Wash glassware and utensils after each use
- Pour wine and beer
- Manage tables and sections to ensure excellent customer service
- Collect payment and operate the POS
- Check identification of customers to make sure they meet requirements
- Clean up after customers and clean work area
- Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Answer questions and make recommendations to customers
- Upsell on menu items when appropriate
- Train and coach junior members of staff
- Assist servers and kitchen staff when required
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Certifications
- High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of bartending & serving experience in a busy bar or restaurant
- Serving It Right certification
- Strong Knowledge of drink recipes
- Ability to handle busy crowds
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
