Own Tools/Equipment : Steel-Toed Safety Boots
Work Environment/Conditions : Field Work (in all weather conditions), Work Environment Exposes the Employee to High Levels of Noise, Grease, and Dust that is Typically Associated with a Construction Site
Physical Capabilities : Physically Demanding; Lifting, Bending, Crouching, Kneeling
Job Description The ideal candidate will have previous experience in concrete forming, poses strong communication skills, a high level of enthusiasm, enjoy working in a team environment and have the ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities As a Concrete Former, you will play a critical role in supporting and assisting the construction team with achieving their business objectives with the following responsibilities:
- Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them
- Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float
- Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, joiners, and straightedge
- Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete
- Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
- Assist Foreman whenever needed
- Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
- Load or unload construction materials
- Operate and care for construction equipment
- Perform site clean-up
- Follow all company health and safety requirements
- Work as a team member and communicate respectfully with coworkers

Requirements
- Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels
- Physically able to lift up to 50-80 lbs
- Willingness to work overtime
