Position Title: Server
Department: Food and Beverage
Reports to: Manager, Food and Beverage or designate

Job Summary: Server will provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This individual serves food and alcoholic beverages, promote menu items, maintain a clean workspace, and ensure guests enjoy a safe and welcoming dining experience. This individual will be responsible for table service, POS transactions, light cleaning, and preparation for daily operations and special events.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional and friendly table service for food and beverage orders, including alcoholic drinks
- Greet guests, take orders, and enter them accurately into the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Promote and describe daily specials and menu items to enhance guest experience
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, bar, and dining room at all times
- Perform opening, closing, and side duties including stocking, prepping condiments, and setting tables
- Accurately handle cash, credit, and POS transactions, including nightly lock-up duties
- Monitor and replenish bar inventory (e.g., alcohol, garnishes, supplies)
- Assist with special event preparation including table setup, cutlery roll-ups, and decoration
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, complaints, or special requests
- Maintain compliance with all liquor licensing regulations and public health standards
- Follow food safety practices for handling, storage, and sanitation
- Support other departments as needed, depending on operational demands
- Attend all required pre-season and in-season training
Key Qualifications:
- Smart Serve Certification (required)
- Previous serving or hospitality experience (asset)
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (REG 493) is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and within a team
- Able to handle high-pressure and fast-paced environments with professionalism
- Comfortable with repetitive lifting (up to 45 lbs / 20.4 kg) and standing for long periods
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to providing outstanding guest service
- Able to complete physically demanding duties as required
- Bilingualism is considered an asset

- Must be flexible with scheduling – including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift coverage
